Gert-Jan is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record across financial services and real estate markets in Europe and Latin America. Since 2012, he has founded and scaled multiple ventures, including Flexpedia a leading Dutch payroll agency generating over €200M in revenue and Paydia, an HR software platform serving 1000+ users.
His real estate expertise spans from Spain, where he founded Withaven Inversiones in 2021, to Mexico, where he began investing in 2023. Now, as Co-Founder and CEO of Arcana Desarrollos alongside Kris Warnow, Gert-Jan brings strategic vision, financial acumen, and a passion for developing exceptional properties that set new standards in the Riviera Maya market.
His multilingual background and international business experience make him the ideal partner to scale Arcana's vision globally while maintaining local excellence.

Born in Germany, raised in Mexico City, and a resident of Playa del Carmen for more than 12 years, Kris combines deep local market knowledge with a unique international perspective.As founder of Arcana Desarrollos and Sunspot Real Estate, he leads luxury development projects and manages investment portfolios for European, North American, and Mexican clients.
His focus is identifying strategic opportunities in Playa del Carmen and Tulum, transforming visions into exceptional residences that transcend traditional real estate. Fluent in German, Spanish, and English, Kris is the bridge between cultures and markets committed to creating spaces that genuinely elevate his clients' way of life.
